The Charter School Growth Fund (CSGF) identifies the country’s best public charter schools, funds their expansion, and helps to increase their impact. 

Challenges

As CSGF was getting ready to launch its latest investment fund, Julie Kennedy, an Executive in Residence and Practice Leader of Academics and Character, had developed a vision and written strategy for her teams’ work. But she was worried the plan would not translate into action without support to build strong internal systems.

Solution

CSGF hired Clarity to apply its expertise in strategic planning and systems building to bring the Academic and Character teams’ plans to life. Clarity crafted a series of intentional meetings to develop and align each team around clear objectives, metrics, and targets for the next five years then facilitate discussions on what was needed to make year 1 a success. Clarity then developed custom 5-year dashboards and annual plans to direct the work in the short and long run. Within two months, teams were actively using their dashboard and action plans to move their work forward.
